Yamaha SY1

Released in 1974

The SY1 was the first portable synthesizer that Yamaha produced. It is a single oscillator monosynth with 28 presets and an aftertouch-sensitive keyboard, which controls the VCO, VCF, or VCA. In preset mode it is quite easy to overdrive the filter for unique sounds.
