Roland JX-3P

Released in 1983

The 6-voice JX-3P is a two-DCO-per-voice analog synth with similar filters to the Juno and Jupiter synths of the era. Unlike those siblings, however, the JX-3P does not have a panel full of sliders for manipulating the sound in real time. Nonetheless, it is a great-sounding analog polysynth, and there is an incredibly deep, programable sound machine underneath the hood, along with a highly intuitive 128-step sequencer.
