This is a full set of 88 hammer weights (52 white key and 36 black key hammers) for select Roland keyboards. The hammer weight provides resistance and balance in the key mechanism - giving the keyboard its proper feel, return speed, and consistent playing response.
A failing or broken hammer weight typically causes:
- a key that feels loose, “clunky,” or uneven
- slow return to the resting position
- a key that sits lower than neighboring keys
- a noticeably soft or unresponsive strike
Roland has discontinued the original hammer weights, so Syntaur has produced newly manufactured, improved versions. They are engineered to match the feel and function of the original parts, and are direct replacements for worn or broken hammers.
