Roland D-50

Released in 1987

Roland's famous D-50 uses LA synthesis, a technique based on short sampled transients layered with more sustaining sounds. The synth also features on-board effects, a joystick for manipulating parameters, keyboard aftertouch, and is bi-timbral.
