This is a rubber hammer cap used in the hammer mechanism of select Casio keyboards. The cap fits on the end of any white key’s hammer weight and provides the cushioning and alignment needed for proper key feel and reliable triggering.
A worn or missing hammer cap can lead to:
- noisy or “clacky” key action
- a key that feels too light or too loose
- uneven response between keys
- improper hammer alignment
